Chalupa Dip. Chalupa Dip A friend gave me this recipe, it's always a big hit! This is a recipe that I adopted from the Zaar account. It's a lot like a layered dip that my family has always made.
In loaf pan, layer beans, avocado mix, sour cream mix, onions, tomatoes and cheese. Top this with the combined taco mix, mayonnaise and sour cream. Ingredients of Chalupa Dip
- It's of 16 ounce can of refried beans - 1st. layer.
- It's of mashed avocados with 2 tablespoons of fresh lemon juice and 1 teaspoon of onion salt - 2nd layer.
- You need of sour cream and one cup of mayonnaise, mixed together well with one package of taco seasoning -3rd layer.
- Prepare of tomatoes,chopped fine -4th layer.
- You need of sharp cheddar cheese, shredded - 5th layer.
- It's of green onions sliced (tops and all) 6th layer.
- Prepare of sliced black olives - 7th layer.
When the dough is light brown, flip the chalupa bread and fry the other half of the chalupa shell. If you like tostadas you can just fry the chalupas flat. made this dip for my sons party. it was good but i could taste the mayo which isnt a good taste when thinking mexican dip. like i said it was good but ill look for an alternative to the mayo concoction. Use tong and carefully dip half of the chalupa dough into the hot oil. Once that half of the dough has begun to fry up but not quite brown, flip the chalupa bread with the other half of the dough frying in the oil.
