Ingredients of Granola/Protein Bars

  1. Prepare 1/2 cup of walnut.
  2. It's 1/2 cup of almond.
  3. Prepare 1/2 cup of pistachios.
  4. It's 3/4 cup of dates cut into small pieces.
  5. Prepare 1/2 cup of cashew nuts.
  6. Prepare 1/2 cup of figs cut into pieces.
  7. Prepare 1/2 cup of raisins (normal) & black ones mixed.
  8. It's 1/2 cup of rolled oats.
  9. You need 1 tbsp of cocoa powder (optional).
  10. Prepare as per taste of Jaggery/Honey.
  11. You need 2 tbsp of ragi flour (optional).

Throughout my years of racing and marathoning, I've built up quite a repertoire of favorite no-bake protein bars, crunchy granola, and energy bites. Granola/Protein Bars instructions

  1. Dry roast cashew, almond, pistachios, walnuts, oats and ragi flour & keep them aside. Now crush the above roasted items. Now mix all the remaining ingredients in a big bowl..
  2. Now if you are using honey mis 2 tbsp of honey to it and if you are using jaggery then in a bowl take 1 tbsp of water then add jaggery as per your taste and melt it completely by boiling. Now add the jaggery syrup to the dry mixture and make it like a dough..
  3. Now grease a tray with some oil/ghee and place the mixture in the tray by pressing them gently as shown in the image..
  4. Now keep it in a refrigerator for an hour and cut them into pieces, according to your choice. You can also form ladoos and keep them in air tight container. And setting them in a tray you can even bake them like cookies but that's again optional or else you can consume them as it is...
