Spiced Granola. Oats, almonds, cashews, cranberries, and dried apricots spiced with cinnamon, ginger, and cloves. Great homemade gift or special holiday treat! Photography Credit: Sally Vargas This granola surpasses any you can buy at the store.
In addition to using a pumpkin pie spice blend, our granola also uses some canned pumpkin, honey, and olive oil to coat the oats and seeds to make a chewy and flavorful batch of Pumpkin Spice Granola. A good homemade granola should not be limited to the holidays, but the combination of spices and the addition of crunchy cocoa nibs in this version make it feel decadent. Better yet, compared with commercial brands this granola has no refined sugar and little fat, two reasons I prefer to make my own granola. You can cook Spiced Granola using 9 ingredients and 3 steps. This delicious spiced granola is proof that tahini has a world of uses. Too often, the jar of tahini paste gets tucked away in the back of the pantry and only gets taken out for the occasional Middle Eastern salad dressing or batch of hummus. But tahini, ground sesame paste, is exceptionally versatile and can be used like any other nut or seed. But the after product is totally amazing! But the after product is totally amazing!
