- For the sponge cake grease a square baking tin with butter & dust it with some maida & keep aside. Meanwhile preheat the oven to 180°c..

- Chop 1cup strawberries & add 3tsp sugar to them and keep aside. Also slice 1 cup of strawberries & add 1tsp sugar to it & keep aside..
- Once the cake cools down, slice it into 2 equal pieces using a sharp knife, then soak the bottom layer with sugar syrup, spread 2tbsp of whipped cream on it, place chopped strawberries on it & spread it with a palate knife, again add 2tbsp whipped cream spread evenly & cover it with top layer of the cake..
- Soak the top layer lightly with sugar syrup, cover it evenly with whipped cream using palate knife & decorate it with strawberry slices..
