Ingredients of Star's Cranberry Sauce

  1. It's of cranberries.
  2. You need 3 cup of cranberries.
  3. You need 1 cup of granulated sugar.
  4. Prepare 1 cup of water.
  5. You need 1/4 cup of orange juice.
  6. You need 1 tbsp of honey (local).
  7. It's 1 pinch of ground cinnamon.

It makes a delicious sauce, different from any other cranberry sauce I've ever tasted or made. It does not "gel" but you do want to cook it long enough to make a good, thick consistency.

Star's Cranberry Sauce step by step

  1. Bring water to boil.
  2. Add sugar.
  3. Add orange juice.
  4. Bring all ingredients to medium boil.
  5. Boil for 10 minutes and until the berries have popped!.
  6. Cool completely at room temperature, then refrigerate until ready to serve..
  7. You can omit the honey and cinnamon if you want, I just love the flavor ๐Ÿ˜ƒin.
  8. I love having it on my bagels in the morning.

Please note the sauce will thicken as it cools. Other optional ingredients to add to the sauce are pecans, raisins, cinnamon. In a medium saucepan over medium heat, dissolve the sugar in the orange juice. Remove from heat, and transfer to a bowl. Cranberry sauce will thicken as it cools.
